STUDENT COUNCIL
Student Council (hereinafter SC)
The Student Council at the "St. Gregory the Illuminator" State Medical College is a student-led organization responsible for student self-governance, elected representation, and advocacy for the social interests of the college’s students.
Objectives and Responsibilities of the Student Council:
- Protect the rights and interests of students, ensuring their voice is heard.
- Facilitate student participation in the management of the college.
- Present student-related issues for discussion in the relevant college management bodies.
- Contribute to the organization of the educational process and the development and implementation of programs aimed at improving the quality of education.
- Inform students about their rights and responsibilities, promoting legal awareness and fostering active civic engagement.
- Promote a favorable environment for students and support their academic, educational, spiritual, cultural, creative, and physical development.
- Assist in improving the social conditions of students and organizing their leisure and recreational activities.
- Participate in ensuring internal discipline within the college premises.
Activities of the Student Council:
The SC organizes:
- Excursions to historical and cultural landmarks.
- Patriotic and cultural events dedicated to prominent Armenian figures.
- Sports activities, flash mobs, and charitable programs.
In recent years, the SC has established various clubs, which actively participate in organizing diverse events, making student life as dynamic and engaging as possible. These clubs provide students with opportunities to pursue their interests, while also revealing and recognizing the talents within the college community.
